Giving Back – Good for Business and People

Since the inception of the business in 1999, Victory Energy has been committed to a giving back philosophy that is both seen and unseen.  “It is a corporate responsibility that is not taken lightly.  The communities where we work and live have become better places based on our involvement.  The support we provide to respective customer causes help change lives in very meaningful ways.  Like our products, we provide solutions in so many different ways that impact people,” states John Viskup, President and CEO.

Helping Our Own

This philosophy is especially true when it involves one of our very own.  Late in 2017, Tom Haskell, a key member of our end market/field services segment, faced an extremely difficult family situation after his son Tyler was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer.  Tyler endured several rounds of chemotherapy that even required hospitalization.  Despite the challenges encountered with chemotherapy, Tyler fought back and continued his freshmen year studies through online courses.  He’s achieved several significant success milestones in the cancer battle over the past few months.

The costs of a major medical issue are overwhelming and burdensome for a family.  In this time of need, the Victory Energy Steam Team stepped up and supported the existing GoFundMe site along with making available “Tyler Tough, Lion Strong” tee shirts to help raise money to offset some of the staggering medical bills.   It is a manifestation of how much Victory Energy employees care for each other.

Our concept to completion positioning is what drives us as a company, the very same strength and resiliency we bring to helping one of our own.  We’re all proud to be a part of the engine behind the “Tyler Tough. Lion Strong” campaign.  The Victory Energy Steam Team always takes care of its own.

Supporting Customer Causes

Our customers are the lifeblood behind our success.  Being a great supplier means always being there for customers, especially long term ones like POET – a leading ethanol producer.   The name Victory Energy is synonymous with providing steam solutions to many ethanol producers across North America.

When asked by POET to support the Seeds of Change golf tournament, Victory Energy was all in as a platinum sponsor.  Seeds of Change make an incredible impact on a worldwide basis.  Their mission is cultivating hope across nations by transforming education, agriculture and environmental conditions to support worldwide, sustainable development.   The work that they perform is extraordinary.

The team of John Viskup, Jeff Coale, Clay Viskup, and Aaron Anderson made the journey to South Dakota to play in and support the tournament.  It was a demonstration of the commitment that Victory Energy brings to supporting charitable organizations that help make a difference across the world.

At Victory Energy, we’re always giving back.  It is a trademark of who we are and what we’re all about as a business and as humans.
